After eighteen years of heartaches and near-misses, the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) finally won their first Indian Premier League (IPL) championship on June 3, 2025.
In addition to demonstrating their cricketing skill , the triumph over Punjab Kings in Ahmedabad was the result of years of commitment ,planning and steadfast fan support. Chinnaswamy Stadium during the winning parade, the joy gave way to sadness. The celebrations were clouded by the event which claimed 11 lives and injured almost 50. The Emotional Repercussions. “This triumph is as much for the fans as it is for the squad,” said an emotional Virat Kohli after the victory.
